This hoops system is incredible. It is everything I can ask for in a goal and more. The Megaslam 72 is very heavy duty... I'm 6'5" 300 lbs, so I'm a pretty big guy. The goal is more than sturdy enough to handle me dunking and hanging on the rim. I played high school and college ball and the action I get from this goal is the same as in the gym. I've never been happier with a purchase! It is also aesthetically the best looking goal on the market in my opinion.

First, the shipping was fast! The online calendar said 3-4 business days. It was at my local hub within a day and a half and at my home by the end of the second day. Second, it is very solid. Would recommend 3 strong guys to move the boxes when the product arrives. I opened the box and removed the contents and my neighbor helped me move them. Third, I installed it myself. digging the hole will take a while or you can rent an auger from the local hardware store and speed the process up. It was very simple to install. The back board will need 4 strong people, it wouldn't hurt to have 5 or 6. The good thing is you only need them for about 5-10 minutes to slide a bolt through. Last, it was a Christmas present for my 3 boys ages 11-14 and I had to get the goal put up in a two hour span before it got dark. I waited until 4pm Christmas eve and got it done since the court was in the backyard and it gets dark at 6pm and my kids were not going to look in the back yard at all. They were surprised Christmas morning. The goal looks good and is very well made. Its solid as a tank. Within the few weeks of having it, we have experienced heavy rain, freezing temp., and 60 degree weather and everything has worked flawless. The breakaway rim is nice, the padding around the pole is thick. I do see why the ad says the last goal you will need to buy. I have got a lot of compliments from friends and neighbors. In conclusion, this goal is awesome from start to finish. I will be adding lights to play at night. I have been able to get my kids outside more rather than sitting in the house looking at electronic devices. Having a goal has taken away my excuse of not getting exercise on a daily basis as well. On a side note: If you have not exercised in a while please stretch so that your legs don't cramp up on you when you go to bed.

I do not normally write reviews but when I get a product that I love I think it is worth shouting out about it. My son 9 years old loves playing basketball, his younger brother 4 is following in the same footsteps. My previous basketball hoop was a free standing ~$350 setup. The acrylic backboard lasted for about 4 years before it shattered and a hole developed in the box area. I decided that I wanted to do a proper upgrade and started my research online. There are many products to choose from and I decided to go with the Mega Slam as the Heavy Duty side of it was key for me. Digging the hole was a bit of a challenge... I hit the first rock at only 6 inches deep... this is what you get here in San Antonio. I managed to dig up to 36 inches before I hit solid slab rock. I drilled into the rock and at 24 inches deep I sill did not get through it. I decided to use it to my advantage. I drilled 5 holes in various spots on the slab and added Quikrete high strength anchoring epoxy to the rebar and hammered them in so I had a snug fit and the epoxy would add the additional hold. This required me to add a lot less concrete obviously but I knew I had a strong foundation. What I liked about the packaging is that they exactly labeled on the outside of the box with the location of the base and rebar. This allowed me to take just that out and get the concrete pored and set. I allowed 4 days for the concrete to set fully before I started the assembly. Instructions were clear and the parts labeled well. I was able to install the full system (excluding the backboard) all by myself (I know that is not recommended but I wanted to get it done). I was able to move the backboard onto my Tundra truck and reverse it to the system and attach it pretty easily. This is most definitely one of the best purchases I have made. My son and I love it and feels and looks super professional. By the looks of it, it should stand the test of time.
