Hello, I am very satisfied with the MegaSlam 60 basketball hoop so far. The shipment arrived in perfect condition; nothing was broken. The hardest part of the installation was digging the hole for the concrete base (500x500x1200 mm) by hand. That took about half a day. For the concreting, I then used 30 bags of 25 kg of dry concrete mix C25/30 (B30). I used a mechanical mixer, which made it very easy. Mixing by hand would probably not be as pleasant, but it could also be managed. I installed the anchor bolts with the plate into the soft concrete. However, since the concrete was still too soft, I secured the set of anchor bolts with two drilled slats and the remaining nuts so that the plate with the bolts would not sink and would remain level. About five days later, my son and I installed the hoop pole and the other parts. The pole is quite heavy, so it’s better to have helpers. Even heavier, however, is the backboard, which needs to be lifted fairly high. But if you use some temporary support, it can be done by two people. Ideally, though, 3–4 people are better. We used two ladders with beams as support. After that, it’s just a matter of tightening everything, and the hoop is fully functional. I appreciate the excellent craftsmanship of both the structure and the manual. The hoop is really very sturdy and makes almost no noise when the ball bounces, unlike our old hoop with a plastic backboard. The only small suggestion would be that the dimensions in the manual could be in millimeters rather than inches 😀.
