Great system. I did a bunch of research before purchase. Small snafu with UPS, they tried to get out of delivering it because it would be difficult to get this stuff into my residential neighborhood on such a large truck. I reminded them they were contracted for a job and if they didn't want to do residential delivery they shouldn't have taken the money to do so. I told the UPS lady it looked like 3 fairly small pallets and none were all that heavy, a small truck with a lift gate should be able to easily get it to my house. They asked if I could come pick it up in a truck, and I again pushed back and said they were paid to bring it to my residential neighborhood and I'd like them to do so, even if it is an inconvenience. They ultimately agreed with my assessment of the situation, put it on a smaller truck with a lift gate. Took about 2 minutes to drop off the 3 pallets and it was easy as heck, I should have taken a video and sent it to the UPS lady.

Whole installation took about 6 manhours. About 4 hours of hole digging and concrete work, another 2 for the install. We did everything but the 72 inch backboard with 2 people, needed 4 people to lift the 72 inch backboard onto a truck. Then we backed the truck into position for the backboard attachment.

All in all a great purchase. If you are on the fence because you are worried about install or quality... this thing is badass and worth every penny.

I did about a month of research and it was worth it. This has to be the best basketball hoop in my neighborhood. Everything is heavy duty from the main pole to the backboard. The instructions were great. Customer service was very knowledgeable and helpful. If you are thinking about another brand hoop instead of the MegaSlam hoop, just watch the Mega Slam vs. the Competition video on this site. I highly recommend the MegaSlam hoops.

I installed the Mega Slam 72” and I am very impressed with the quality of this hoop. I debated spending the extra money and going with the XL model as I am the type that firmly believes the bigger the better and you get what you pay for. I’m sure the XL is the king of all kings but the 72” is honestly all that is needed. Especially since I have it installed in our driveway and not on a dedicated court. Hands down the best goal in the neighborhood! I did a lot of research and am confident that I made the right decision. This thing is a beast and am very excited to use it with my family and friends for many years to come. Ordering was easy, It delivered quickly and was packaged better than…anything I think I’ve seen. Digging the hole was a pain but assembly was pretty simple. HEAVY…but simple. It took only a couple of hours with the help of my brother-in-law, wife and the bed of my truck.
