Construction on the court and preparation for the anchor system began in early May. The actually set up of the basketball hoop system took about an hour. The second we tighten the last bolt, we’ve been shooting on it non stop. The kids shoot on it first thing in the morning, when I come home for lunch, the neighborhood kids are all in the back. We added lights, and can play late into the night....Memorial Day weekend the court was active past midnight every night. The quality of the materials is unmatched. The unit is impressive at first look and when you shoot on it, the rigidity and strength of the system is what stands out most. But the sound of the kids playing is the best thing about it. theCity is known for holding our athletes to the highest standards, on and off the court or field. Called several different companies about their hoops, with MegaSlam a person always answered the phone and gave me all the info I could have asked for, and I’m pretty picky. Goal was on backorder when I placed my order and the time line I was given for delivery was spot on. Couldn’t have asked for more. Did the concrete and site prep myself, nothing too complicated there. Have to admit though, it was a lot easier using a Bobcat with an auger on it for my hole. Poured the column and pad together, installed the anchor system and waited three days. Unit was well packed and very heavy. No damage of any kind. Instructions we’re very well written and the hardware very well packed, almost impossible to mix anything up. Putting the main pile up wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, the backboard, however was the opposite. 1/2” glass is heavy! We put it in the back of my truck and managed to put blocks under each side to get it up high enough to mount to the arms. Overall installation time was only about 1.5-2 hours not counting concrete work. Shooting hoops that day and my kids haven’t stopped since then. High quality hoop, rebounds great, height adjustment easy as pie!!

I bought this a year ago. I did a lot of research. It's not easy, there's a lot of marketing hype out there. Finally made the call on MegaSlam (the video from a guy comparing it to ProDunk helped a lot.) I found the video on YouTube at the time, now they have the video on their site. (smart). It shipped very quickly relatively speaking. Instructions are much better than you'd expect, could use a few tweaks, but I was satisfied. Packaging was nice. About what you'd expect difficulty wise to install. You'll need a few strong friends for an hour to set the pole, and to put the backboard on. Very nice construction. They didn't cut corners (I hate it when I get a product, and then notice all the cheap-outs). This was opposite, solid, good attention to details. slightly overbuilt for the need. which is great. It looks great. It works great. My High School son is pretty hard on it, 15 years old, 6"2' and can slam. He and his friends have really enjoyed it. They lower it sometimes and really go to town. Nice padding, has held up very well. Had to tighten the rim twice over the year. Used support twice for a couple questions. They were awesome. Just bought the light, that I'm installing now, will review later. So very happy with the purchase. Would definitely buy again. Expensive, but appropriate for the quality and lifestyle it's helped with.
